Q. What are the requirements for my dog to board at Citizen Canine? A. Dog must be non-aggressive, spayed/neut. if over 6months old, be current on all vaccines, including Rabies, Parvo/ Distemper and Bordatella (Kennel cough). Each dog must also successfully pass a personal interview with the owner. Q. Do I need to bring proof of vaccinations? A. You will need to provide us with your vet information so we can call and verify shots. We also strongly suggest that you have your dog on a flea and heartworm prevention program. Q. Do all dogs play together or do you separate by size, temper., etc.? A. Generally we keep all dogs together. We separate them more by activity level than by size. We can however, separate smaller dogs if requested. Q. How often do dogs go outside? A. About one time per hour and more often during the warmer weather. During the spring and summer months we have kiddie swimming pools for the dogs to play and cool off in. Q. Do I need to bring my dog's own food? A. Yes, you must bring your dog's own food, or you may purchase dog food in our gift shop. We carry Solid Gold and Nutro. We will also take any special request you may have (Pizza, Baked chicken etc.) . Q. Can you administer medication? A. Yes, we can administer any medication at no extra charge. Q. Do you have a temperature control system? A. Yes, our facility is climate controlled. Heated and air conditioned. Q. Can I bring my dog's toys, blanket, etc? A. No, sometimes a dog may get possessive over his/her own belonging's therefore we do not allow you to bring such items. We provide tennis balls, blankets, bowls, etc.
